Covering the UK
The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations 2002 places a duty on the employer to assess and control the risk arising from exposure to hazardous substances in the workplace. Exposure to hazardous substances can affect employee health and may result in skin irritation, respiratory complications and terminal illnesses. Atmosphere Environmental will conduct both personal exposure and background air monitoring of dust, fume, vapours and mists, including; wood and flour dust, welding fume, solvents, metalworking fluids and present the exposure results in a detailed interpretive report for comparison with current exposure limits. This will explain what action is required to comply with current COSHH legislation, including the effectiveness of any control measures in place such as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
