A Brief History of Atmosphere Environmental

Atmosphere Environmental is proud to be a growing family-run business here in the UK. Founded by two brothers with over three decades of experience, the company remains independent and offers a national asbestos and hygiene consultancy

Established in 2009, and with offices based in London, Birmingham and Yorkshire, Atmosphere Environmental was born out of demand for trusted and experienced asbestos professionals. With the Directors holding BOHS Certified Competent Person Status (CCP) and the company holding ISO 9001, Safe Contractor, CHAS and Constructionline accreditations Atmosphere Environmental’s vision was to deliver an unrivalled service to businesses of all sizes. 

In 2009, just one year prior to the company’s inception, a nine-week hearing was conducted in the UK to discuss when an insurer’s liability is enforced to insure those suffering from asbestos related diseases. It is suggested that the symptoms of asbestos exposure will surface several decades after first exposure. This fueled the brothers’ desire to forge Atmosphere Environmental, and educate UK businesses of the dangers and offer training to prevent any more deaths. 

Now, in 2015, the company offers a range of services to clients across the public and private sector; including the NHS, Aston Villa FC, Greenwoods Menswear Ltd, Cromwell Tools, Galliford Try and many others. From asbestos surveys, management and removal, to LEV examination and noise and vibration testing, our employees are well trained. In addition to our company accreditations, our surveyors hold MEWP licences, CSCS cards, and have undertaken confined spaces,  working at height and first aid training. 

Customer service is an integral part of the culture at Atmosphere Environmental, with maximum efficiency and transparency throughout the entire process. As the world of technology develops, new hand-held devices are utilised on-site to record data and maintain an in depth report for all customers. 

Laws and best practice regulations are taken very seriously. The Control of Asbestos Regulations (CAR) 2012 states that every employer must provide their staff with sufficient levels of information, instruction  and training to those likely to be exposed to asbestos while at work. Atmosphere Environmental offers asbestos awareness training to companies employees and managers to enable a company to comply with CAR 2012.
